Whalley dominated from both a pitching and hitting perspective. Starting pitcher Brian Wearing pitched a complete game four-hitter, striking out five over the five innings. On offence Chris Brien lead the way going 2-for-4 with a towering homerun and three RBI. Jeff Atkinson, Nick Rohla and Connor Nishimura all went 2-for-3 with a double. Nishimura added four RBI. Glace Bay starting pitcher Micth Campbell struggled with his control hitting four batters and walking five over 3 2/3 innings of work. Rob Barrett and Dave Stubbard finished the game. Glace Bay falls to 0-2 in the five-game round robin portion of the tournament. |



Oakville, ON - Whalley Chiefs continue to roll in round 2 of the 2008 Canadian Senior Little League Championship beating Glace Bay Tim Hortons Antonians 11-0 in five innings. Whalley now sits at 2-0 in round robin play.
